Washington Outer Layer - Women's

I’ve not been able to test the active components of the coat but I can say it fits well and I love the cut and the color.

I got this jacket for Christmas and I LOVE it. The angled cut is really slimming, and the blue fabric really adds some color to those long winter days. I took this on a couple of hikes so far and it's light but warm, and easily packable. Everything you could ever want!

I've only had this jacket for about a month, but I've already reaped its benefits in a variety of conditions: hiking in the white mountains, rock climbing in colorado, shoveling snow around my house. It's roomy - so great for layering. It's lightweight, but very warm and windproof. If I start to sweat I dry out quickly. It's also a beautiful shade of blue.

Bought this jacket in my usual size and there was still room for layers if needed.
I use this jacket for running. It is my cold weather jacket!
So many great features about this jacket: multiple good size pockets, longer in back for warmth, amazing hood that fits like it was customized for me, zipper that can go up to your chin yet falls nicely if not zippered up high, sleeves are perfect. It is light weight and wind resistant.
The only con is I would love to see this jacket in other colors. The powder blue is definitely a nice shade but perhaps high visible colors or white, fuchsia.

I'm an avid hiker in all seasons and with my husband and I starting to train for ultra distances I need grear that can stick it out with me! This jacket is my new go to favortire whether I'm chasing my 3 kids around or hiking 30 miles in the Whites. Thank you Burgeon!!!

Worn it a couple of times backcountry skiing and it is great. Vents well on the way up (usually unzip it about 1/2way to help) and warm enough at the top to avoid having to put on another layer. Love the stretch in the fabric and the velour lining is oh so comfortable when I am wearing it with short sleeves (as I have lately with the warm weather). Cannot wait to get it out on the hiking trails! Highly recommend!

This winter jacket is warm, even in high winds! It has lots of pockets for snacks, keys, and a phone. The best part us the hood with the neck face protection. This can also serve as a mask. The size is generous so size down. You will love it! The quality is superb!

This is the second purchase from Burgeon first the Highlander pull over and now the outer layer. The quality is incredible and customer service you won’t find at big box retailer..

I’ve worn this jacket almost daily since purchasing it. It’s been great for snow shoeing, hiking and long walks around my area in weather down to the teens including wind and snow. It’s so warm that I’ve found I only need a good mid layer underneath and I’m toasty and comfortable. My husband got one after seeing how much I liked mine!

This lightweight outer layer is super comfortable and has great stretch to move with you. The inside is extremely soft and very cozy! I love that the back hem scoops down slightly, covers my butt, which is appreciated in extreme cold. I love the color, pockets, hood, built in balaclava and everything else about this jacket. LOVE IT!!!!

It runs a bit large and I needed a smaller size. Customer service was excellent and absolutely no hassle exchanging. Super comfortable. I have only worn it on a nice day, so can’t comment on foul weather. Certainly breaks the wind and has a great hood. Recommend. If you are remotely between sizes, be sure to size down.

I recently wore this jacket to hike Mt. Tecumseh on a day with single-digit temps. I was plenty warm with just a base layer underneath, even when the wind picked up towards the top. I've also worn it to shovel my driveway in very wet snow/sleet mix and I stayed dry! The pockets are large enough to hold snacks, extra mittens, and your phone, and I love the built-in balaclava. It's lightweight and very comfortable. The cut is generous. I ordered a size up so that I'd have plenty of room to layer (I wanted to be sure it would fit over a down sweater jacket), but that probably wasn't necessary. Overall, it's a great jacket and I'm very happy with it!

Pros:
Beautiful fabric and color (As the slowest hiker in the group I am easily spotted.)
Wind resistance is very good
Added face mask is a bonus
Moves with you
Pockets are large enough that you don’t have to worry about loosing that extra mitten!
For longer hikes I think will be the perfect outer layer.

Con:
I went for a larger size and the sleeves are way to long!

The material is very comfortable allowing freedom to move while offering the perfect insulation for hikes. I had the need to use the hood and balaclava on my first wear and loved the convenience of it being built in to the jacket! I also received compliments on the look of the jacket which is always a plus.

I am super happy with the Washington! I ordered a medium as a size 8-10 usually fits me well and when it arrived it’s generous cut felt too big. The exchange for a small was very quick and easy. The small Washington arrived yesterday and I tried it out this morning for a brisk 5 mile hike. The temperature was just 20F and under it I had just a base layer. The fit is perfect and I was very comfortable. The quality of materials is great and I am excited to order more pieces in the future! Love the shade of blue with black accents too! Highly recommend :)
