Kyle has lived in Florida, Texas, New Jersey and Nevada.
But New Hampshire is home.
Today, as Burgeon's Director of Operations, he's helping the company grow while protecting the things that make it different.
Ask him what brought him here and he won't start with production schedules or process improvements. He'll start with the mission.
"Having the chance to support a cause that genuinely benefits the community, and the planet was the main reason I pursued this position."
A few months in, that feeling hasn't changed. And what stands out most is the people.
"Our incredible team of problem solvers and craftspeople makes every day an adventure, an opportunity to learn, and a constant motivation to evolve."
Different by Design
At many apparel companies, operations means managing a supply chain that stretches around the globe. Not here.
Burgeon designs, makes and test outdoor apparel right here in New Hampshire's White Mountains, which keeps production close to home.
"The standard apparel supply chain is notoriously destructive," Kyle says. "Burgeon eliminates thousands of miles of international shipping and a massive amount of fossil fuel consumption by handling the core manufacturing process under one roof."
For Kyle, that's more than an operational advantage. It's proof that there's another way to build an apparel company. His role is helping Burgeon continue to grow without losing what makes it Burgeon.
"Burgeon empowers us to make high-impact decisions daily. As I expand my own role and mentor others, I look forward to steering the brand toward sustainable, long-term growth."
Made in New Hampshire
Kyle grew up visiting The Basin in Franconia Notch with his family. It's still one of his favorite places in the White Mountains. And that connection gives extra meaning to the words Made in New Hampshire.
"It means honoring a rich heritage. Textile manufacturing is a cornerstone of New Hampshire's history, and to me, this represents the revival of a rare craft and a legacy I am proud to support every day."
Proof of Concept
What excites him most about Burgeon's future?
The opportunity to keep proving that outdoor apparel can be made responsibly, locally and without sacrificing quality.
"While much of the industry has moved toward overseas production that prioritizes low costs, Burgeon proves you can achieve sustainability and ethical production without sacrificing value."
That philosophy carries through nearly every decision the company makes.
"We're always looking to minimize our environmental footprint through recycled fabrics, deadstock materials and local sourcing," Kyle says. "It's part of our culture and part of nearly every decision we make."
As Burgeon continues to grow, Kyle's focus remains simple - build locally, invest in people, and keep improving.
Outside of work, you'll find Kyle in the garden or the kitchen. Two hobbies that reward the same things: patience, craft, and something made well from scratch.
Now wonder he ended up here.
