Follow up to Prior Review

My prior review was positive but the book was still open for the smell factor. I recently wore this hoodie on an extended multi day backpacking trip. After a couple of days of wear with moderate sweating the odor retention was pretty bad. So while I like most everything about this hoodie the odor retention is tough. Great for a day hike or an overnight but for extended trips I won’t be bringing it along.

new favorite summer hoodie

There's a bit more texture to the fabric than I had expected - I was concerned it might be itchy, but it's not. I ordered small and the fit is perfect; I'm 5'11" and 150lb. I wish for more neutral colors, but the blue is good - not too bright.

I've only worn it a couple times, so we'll see how durable it is in the long-term. Hopefully worth the price.

Excellent so far

Fit: At 5'9", 190lbs, athletic build the medium fits perfect with out being tight or constraining, but also doesn't hang off me or feel baggy.

Feel: Bc of its textured fabric it's not the softest base layer but it's by no means uncomfortable, just don't expect silky.

Performance: Wore it three straight days, paddleboarding, hiking and kayaking, and was super pleased with the way it performed. Somehow it had hardly any stink after all that, even with temps on the 90s and humidity at near 100%...I was sweating. It dried faster than I expected too, nothing incredibly faster than my other options from Beyond clothing or Mountain Hardwear but still noticeably faster despite being a slightly thicker fabric (again, due to the texture). At one point while hiking hard in a light rain I could actually see the moisture movement. There was a dew forming on my chest any stomach from my body heat actually pushing out the moisture through the little diamonds where it met the cooler rain temperature.

Durability: No wear over three days with 8 miles wearing a backpack. Even fell down the stairs at the cabin and drug my arm down the railing...arm was bruised and scraped, fabric showed no signs of damage other than some green slime from the wood (which is why I slipped 🤦)

Only giving 4 stars bc I don't have a longer term take on it yet. If it holds up over the year it'd easily be 5 stars.
