Tuesday, we had the privilege of attending the inaugural Outdoor Industry Day in New Hampshire, a momentous occasion officially recognized on June 10th. Held in Veterans Memorial Park in Manchester, this event was a celebration of the people, places, and partnerships that make New Hampshire’s outdoor economy so vibrant. This proclamation highlights the economic impact of New Hampshire's $3.9 billion outdoor industry, which supports over 30,000 jobs and 1,000 small businesses across the state.

The celebration, organized by Granite Outdoor Alliance, featured remarks from several influential leaders. Tyler Ray, Executive Director of GOA, opened the event by sharing how this day was made possible through years of advocacy, partnership, and passion. New Hampshire Governor, Kelly Ayotte, spoke about the importance of preserving access to the outdoors and encouraging growth in the outdoor business sector, while Taylor Caswell, Commissioner of the Department of Business and Economic Affairs, emphasized how the outdoor industry fuels jobs, innovation, and sustainable economic growth in communities across the state.

Janel Lawton, Director of the Office of Outdoor Recreation, highlighted the collaborative spirit driving New Hampshire’s outdoor initiatives forward. And Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais welcomed attendees to the city, underscoring Manchester’s commitment to public green spaces and outdoor accessibility for all residents.

At Burgeon, our mission has always been rooted in the mountains and communities of New Hampshire. To see our state formally recognize the outdoor industry’s impact is both meaningful and motivating. We’re proud to be part of this movement and even prouder to make our products right here in the White Mountains.
