The Indian Head Resort is a great place for visitors to stay. Plenty of hiking and scenic options are within reasonable distance. Whales Tales, a water park, is less than a mile from the resort and offers tons of fun for kids of all ages.
Eat:
Breakfast
Coffee: The Moon Bakery serves great coffee, delicious smoothies, classic pastries and a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches to satisfy all. Located in the Village Shops down the hall from our Burgeon Outdoor Studio!
Sit-Down Breakfast: Flapjack’s carries all your breakfast needs with specialty omelettes, local maple syrup, a variety of fluffy pancakes and all the breakfast classics.
Lunch
Sit-Down Lunch: The Gypsy Cafe has a diverse selection of lunch items ranging from Indonesian peanut noodles to enchiladas to turkey burgers. Whatever cravings you have, the Gypsy Cafe has the answer!
Sandwich: White Mountain Bagel bakes delicious bagels daily and offers a variety of cream cheeses and specialty sandwiches. Grab to-go or find an open table on their patio to enjoy the fresh air while you eat.
Dinner
Burger: Black Mountain Burger is known to have the best burgers in Lincoln (and is a fan favorite from Burgeon employees). Craft burgers, delectable salads and sides make Black Mountain Burger a must have when in Lincoln.
Brewery: One Love Brewery, also located in the Village Shops, boasts an extensive food menu and even better beer one! Chicken and Waffles, in-house smoked pulled pork and the Firecracker Nachos are popular items to pair with their craft beers. They often feature live music on a weekly basis. Plenty of outside seating for those lovely summer nights. They are accommodating of all ages with a special menu for the little ones.
Play:
The Beaver Pond Loop is a 1.3 mile loop that is suitable for all skill levels. The loop is simple and quick and offers some nice views of the pond and surrounding nature. This loop is great for young kids and easy enough for anyone to do it!
Clark’s Trading Post is a perfect family-friendly attraction for a day trip. Clark’s attractions include various amusement rides and a train ride on the White Mountain Central Railroad.
Loon Mountain is known for its skiing but also offers some great offseason activities. With 3+ miles of hiking trails that offer some awesome views. Mountain biking and disc golf help to prove that Loon is more than a ski mountain. Don’t feel like hiking but still want to see the awesome views? Reserve tickets in advance to take their scenic gondola ride to the summit.
Whales Tales is a water amusement park that features waterslides, a lazy river, wave pool and more. The park is perfect for kids and has entertainment options for all ages.
