Sustainability: The material for our Franconia Mid Layer was milled in Tennessee and handsewn by the Burgeon production team in Gorham, NH.  US domestic production ensures compliance with high environmental standards, a cleaner electrical grid, more efficient transportation infrastructure, as well as reducing the overall distance (and carbon footprint required) to move through a global supply chain.  The fabric is Blue Sign Certified.

Made in New Hampshire:  Handsewn by the Burgeon production team in Gorham, NH.

Worker Standards: Burgeon follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations that protect our employees.  Burgeon production team members also enjoy flexible working hours, paid time off (vacation, sick, safe), and all ten federal holidays.  Burgeon covers 100% of healthcare premiums for all employees who average 30+ hours per week.  All Burgeon production team members are eligible for a monthly bonus based on our sales.  5% of the sales of the Franconia go directly into this bonus pool.
5% for our Community and Environment

5% of the purchase price of this product will benefit our community and environmental efforts.  These efforts include trail maintenance, working with local non-profits and organizations, as well as our carbon mitigation efforts.

We maintain three (Old Bridle Path, Pine Link, Willey Range) trails in the White Mountains in partnership with the Appalachian Mountain Club. In the past year, we have also donated time, resources, and money to organizations such as New England Disabled Sports, Pemi Search and Rescue, Lakes Region Search and Rescue, the Linwood Rotary, Linwood Ambulance, as well as local community centers in Lincoln, Franconia, and Lisbon, NH.

Warm and comfy!

Love this piece - it’s my new favorite fleece layer! I’ve used this as a layer in the frigid temps NE has had this winter. It’s also great on its own in ‘regular cold’ temps once you get moving. And POCKETS! The best! It’s fitted so be mindful when ordering a size.

Just what I was looking for

The Franconia turned out to be a great garment. I bought the garment for my wife, who needed a middle weight hiking hoodie. Not only is it beautiful (she loves the blue), but it has inside pockets to store gloves, front chest pockets for easy access to sunglasses or cell phone for a quick photo. The fabric on the inside is soft and comfortable. It works as an outer layer on milder days but will be a great inner layer when the temps are low or the winds are high. Five stars all the way!

Good for wind

Wore it for a bit in a windy hike. Warm, good wind protection, perfect for a mid layer, and the length for additional coverage is great. I wear it around town and the only downside is that I wish there were lower front pockets in the outside, not just the inside and the chest pockets.

Great midlayer

Bought this for my wife and she loves it. Loves how it is forming fitting so that it works well under all types of jackets. She also loves the longer back as it completely covers her ski pants and keeps out any breeze and his the hut fits under her helmet. Highly recommend!
