MWOBS is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution whose mission is to advance understanding of the natural systems that drive Earth’s weather and climate. Through their work on the summit of Mount Washington—home to some of the planet’s most extreme weather—they conduct groundbreaking atmospheric research, operate a world-renowned weather station, and offer innovative science education and outreach programs.
