Worker Standards: The Campfire Vest is handstitched by the Burgeon production team in Gorham, New Hampshire.  Burgeon follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations that protect our employees.  Burgeon production team members also enjoy flexible working hours, paid time off (vacation, sick, safe), and all ten federal holidays.  Burgeon covers 100% of healthcare premiums for all employees who average 30+ hours per week.  All Burgeon production team members are eligible for a monthly bonus based on our sales.  5% of the sales of the Campfire Vest zip go directly into this bonus pool.
5% for our Community and Environment

5% of the purchase price of this product will benefit our community and environmental efforts.  These efforts include trail maintenance, working with local non-profits and organizations, as well as our carbon mitigation efforts.

We maintain three (Old Bridle Path, Pine Link, Willey Range) trails in the White Mountains in partnership with the Appalachian Mountain Club. In the past year, we have also donated time, resources, and money to organizations such as New England Disabled Sports, Pemi Search and Rescue, Lakes Region Search and Rescue, the Linwood Rotary, Linwood Ambulance, as well as local community centers in Lincoln, Franconia, and Lisbon, NH.

I was looking online for a basic black oversized vest that’s not a puffer because I like the oversized look. Happened to be in NH and went to the store. I’m usually a small/medium (135 lbs) but purchased in the women’s large and it’s just a little bit oversized and perfect. I’m wearing now over a hoodie and it’s great - not too bulky and comes down to mid behind. Glad I bought it.

Love this vest!

This vest is so comfortable! I’ve worn it hiking, walking the dog, and find myself grabbing it when I’m going to run errands. It’s perfect for cool days or layered under a jacket on colder days as it’s not bulky. It’s my new go-to!

Actually, received a full zip after an ‘oops’!

I ordered a half zip but after the fact I was notified there was an error and that was not available — instead I got a full zip. I love it! Very happy! My same issue is a little tightness in the upper arm region. But hey, attractive, super warm, great pockets, does what was promised!

Great Fleece!!

I cannot give a personal review of this fleece, as it was purchased as a gift for my mother, but I did earn some great brownie points. My mom loves the fit and feel. She’s worn it several times and has reassured me of how much she likes it. It’s mom approved, do you need any other reason to get yourself one?

Worth a re-purchase

This is the second time I’ve bought a Campfire Fleece! My first one was stolen within three weeks of purchasing it. I finally gave up on it ever coming back to me so I ordered online and I’m so glad I did.

The cut is great; I appreciate the room in the shoulders and the length is perfect. The fabric is so soft on the inside, sturdy on the outside, and has just the right amount of stretch. The single pocket suits all my needs, giving it a professional look and feel that I can wear to work at my job in the recreation field. The name on the binding and the tag on the hem says it all.

Campfire fleece

My order was sent out next day, I ordered it late in the day, and was very happy with the quality of the product and… made in New England! The overall fit was spot on although I wear a tall size and this is not made in a tall. The regular fit is okay but I would have liked maybe another 1/2” on the sleeve length. With that, it is still a good fit. I’ve worn it on a couple of day hikes here in Massachusetts and I’m comfortable. Since it is a 1/2 zip, that allows for cooling. Would I recommend it? Yes!
