Named after Old Fort, NC, the town where Kitsbow crafted its renowned American-made apparel, this Henley continues that tradition with Polartec® Power Wool™ fabric we acquired when Kitsbow closed its doors. We wanted to carry forward their commitment to quality and craftsmanship, embedding it in a product built for your own adventures.

Made of Polartec® Powerwool™, this Henley not only wicks great, but is also naturally thermoregulating, anti-odor, and comfortable on your skin. It is a midweight hiking shirt, baselayer, and date night go-to all in one. 

Made of 100% deadstock material, the Old Fort Henley is not only the most sustainable Henley on the market but also one of the most comfortable.

Sustainability: Made of 100% deadstock material, the most sustainable raw material on the planet. We sourced our deadstock material from Kitsbow when they filed for bankruptcy in 2023.

Our Old Fort Henley Baselayer was originally knitted in Cleveland, TN and is handsewn in Lincoln, NH.  US domestic production ensures compliance with high environmental standards, a cleaner electrical grid, more efficient transportation infrastructure, as well as reducing the overall distance (and carbon footprint required) to move through a global supply chain. 

In addition, wool is a natural fiber that is anti-odor and thermoregulating without the use of chemical additives.

Worker Standards: Burgeon and its suppliers follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations that protect our/their employees.  Burgeon production team members also enjoy flexible working hours, paid time off (vacation, sick, safe), and all ten federal holidays.  Burgeon covers 100% of healthcare premiums for all employees who average 30+ hours per week.  All Burgeon production team members are eligible for a monthly bonus based on our sales.  5% of the sales of the Old Fort Henley go directly into this bonus pool.
