Built on our best-selling mid-layer design, this hoodie combines lightweight warmth, breathability, and everyday versatility with measurable environmental impact. Every hoodie sold directly funds waterway cleanups through United By Blue while continuing Burgeon’s investment in trail and mountain communities.

Available in two collaboration-exclusive colors - Moraine (grey and cream) and Ice Cave (blue and cream) - this limited release is designed to be worn hard and feel good long after you put it on.

What It's Made to Do

We designed the Highlander to be the layer you reach for most.

It’s warm enough to wear on its own when the temps drop, breathable enough to handle high-output days, and light enough to disappear into your pack when you don’t need it. The grid fleece construction helps regulate heat so you stay comfortable on the move and during breaks.

At just 8–10 ounces, it punches well above its weight—whether you’re hiking, skiing, traveling, or just heading out the door.

Every United By Blue × Burgeon Highlander Hoodie supports the places we all depend on—both on the water and on the trail.

United By Blue removes one pound of trash from oceans and waterways for every product sold. To date, they’ve removed more than four million pounds of trash, with the help of thousands of volunteers nationwide. Every hoodie sold directly funds those cleanup efforts.

At the same time, 5% of every Burgeon sale is reinvested into mountain and trail communities. That includes trail maintenance in the White Mountains, support for search and rescue teams, adaptive sports programs, and local nonprofits throughout New Hampshire.

Made Here, By People Who Care

Burgeon manufactures its products in New Hampshire, hand-sewn by its in-house production team in Lincoln and Gorham, at the edge of the White Mountains.

Burgeon pays above industry-standard wages, covers 100% of healthcare premiums for full-time employees, and provides paid time off, profit sharing, and flexible schedules. Five percent of every sale is reinvested into mountain and trail communities—supporting trail maintenance, search and rescue organizations, adaptive sports programs, and local nonprofits throughout New Hampshire.

This hoodie is made close to the places it’s designed to be used, by people who live, work, and recreate there. 
5% for our Community and Environment

5% of the purchase price of this product will benefit our community and environmental efforts.  These efforts include trail maintenance, working with local non-profits and organizations, as well as our carbon mitigation efforts.

We maintain three (Old Bridle Path, Pine Link, Willey Range) trails in the White Mountains in partnership with the Appalachian Mountain Club. In the past year, we have also donated time, resources, and money to organizations such as New England Disabled Sports, Pemi Search and Rescue, Lakes Region Search and Rescue, the Linwood Rotary, Linwood Ambulance, as well as local community centers in Lincoln, Franconia, and Lisbon, NH.

Shipping on orders $100+ is free for continental US addresses. For orders less than $100 or to non-continental US locations, we charge $7.50 for shipping.

For non-US orders, shipping is calculated at checkout. All International packages are shipped via USPS. Deliveries times will vary depending on destination. Please note that you may be liable for duties on the shipment (varies by country).
