Trail Maintenance 2025

As you know, our public lands and the people who help to maintain them have faced budget cuts, layoffs, a lack of seasonal hiring, and reassignment of duties over the past several months.

You also may know that many of our most treasured trails have a backlog of maintenance work - and this only looks to get worse.

Want to positively impact our public lands this spring, summer, and fall?  Want to meet other people who care for the White Mountains?

Join Burgeon Outdoor as we complete our trail maintenance work on three trails in the White Mountains - the iconic Old Bridle Path, the Willey Range Trail, and the Pine Link Trail.  We maintain these trails through the AMC’s Trail Adopter program and we are striving to get to all three trails at least three times this season.

We can not promise you great weather, stunning views, or the hike of your life, but we can promise you’ll spend time with others who care about this place, are willing to get their proverbial hands dirty, and make an impact.

We hope you can join us on one of our days, but if not, please note that other organizations, such as the AMC, are also offering opportunities to help in this time of great need.

Basic outline of the day:

Meet at Burgeon at 8:00am  in either Lincoln (OBP, WRT) or Gorham (Pine Link).  We’ll have light breakfast snacks available.  We’ll gear up and carpool to the trail head.  Afterwards we’ll grab a quick bite to eat courtesy of Burgeon and all participants will receive a $50 Burgeon Gift card as a token of our appreciation.
